When it comes to bacon, there are a lot of different ways to approach it. Some people like their bacon crispy, while others like theirs cooked a little softer. And then there are those who like their bacon smoky and savory. But how much bacon do you need for your group of people? And what is the best way to portion it out? Here is a guide on how to calculate the amount of bacon needed for your group: -A person’s weight in pounds -The size of an average piece of ham or sausage -How many pieces of ham or sausage you plan on serving -How many people in your group will be eating the bacon For example, if someone weighs 180 pounds and plans on eating 8 pieces of ham or sausage, they would need 3/8 pound (or about 11 grams) of bacon per person. So if someone in your group weighs between 50 and 70 pounds, they would need 1/4 pound (or about 8 grams) more than what they would need if they only ate pork products.
