Ingredients: 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour 1 teaspoon baking powder 1/2 teaspoon salt 3/4 cup sugar 3 tablespoons butter, at room temperature 2 large eggs, beaten 1 cup milk 1 tablespoon vanilla extract FILLING: (optional) 1 cup funfetti candy, divided (I used about 2 cups) Directions: Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Grease and flour a 9x13 inch baking pan. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder and salt. In the same bowl, cream together the sugar and butter until light and fluffy. Add the eggs one at a time, whisking after each addition. Add the milk and vanilla extract and mix until well combined. Pour batter into prepared pan; spread evenly with a spoon or your hands. If using funfetti candy (which is optional), sprinkle over top of cake before serving. Bake for 30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into center comes out clean.
