Ingredients: 1/2 cup all-purpose flour 1/4 teaspoon salt 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg 1/8 teaspoon ground ginger 3 tablespoons butter, at room temperature 2 cups grated apple (about 12 large) 2 tablespoons sugar 3 tablespoons milk FILLING: 1 egg, beaten well, for brushing the fritters; 1 tablespoon sugar; 1 tablespoon cornstarch; 2 tablespoons cold butter or 2 tablespoons melted butter; 1 cup chopped fresh parsley or 1 tablespoon dried parsley; and a dash of salt. Directions: In a small bowl, whisk together the flour, salt, cinnamon and nutmeg. In a large skillet over medium heat, melt the butter. Add the apple and cook until lightly browned and slightly softened, about 5 minutes. Stir in the sugar and continue cooking until the sugar is melted and bubbly. Stir in the milk to make a smooth mixture. Pour into a greased bowl. Sprinkle with egg, sugar, cornstarch and parsley. Mix well to combine.

How to Make Fried Apple Fritters at Home

Whisk together the flour, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon. In a separate bowl, combine the eggs, sugar, and vanilla. Combine the wet and dry mixtures, also stirring in the milk. Fold in the apples. Heat vegetable oil to 350°F. Drop the batter into the oil. Cook the fritters for 2 minutes per side. Place the fritters on a plate lined with paper towels to drain. Whip up the glaze, dip the fritters in it, and enjoy!
