Ingredients: 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, at room temperature 1 cup granulated sugar 2 large eggs 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract 3 cups all-purpose flour 1 teaspoon baking powder Pinch of salt 2 cups semisweet chocolate chips, chopped (I used about 1/4 cup) Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Grease and flour an 8x8 inch baking pan.
  2. In a medium bowl, cream butter and sugar together until light and fluffy. Beat in eggs one at a time, then stir in vanilla extract. In another bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder and salt until well blended. Stir the chocolate chips into the batter just until they are melted and bubbly. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and spread evenly across the bottom of the pan. Bake for 25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Allow to cool completely before cutting into squares!
