Grease a 12-cup muffin pan with butter or margarine. Sift together the flour, baking powder, ginger, salt and cinnamon; set aside. In a medium bowl whisk together the eggs and sugar until light and fluffy. Stir in the butter or margarine until melted. Stir in the chopped fresh gingerroot. Mix well. Add enough of the batter to fill the prepared pan; do not overfill. Bake for 25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
