Ingredients: 1 cup all-purpose flour 1/2 teaspoon baking powder 1/4 teaspoon salt 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon 3 tablespoons sugar 2 tablespoons butter, melted and cooled 2 large eggs, beaten 1 cup root beer (I used Anheuser-Busch) Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Grease and flour a 9x13 inch baking dish. In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, salt and cinnamon. Add sugar and butter; mix until well blended. In another bowl, whisk together eggs and root beer; stir into the batter until well blended. Pour batter into prepared dish; spread evenly over top of cake. Bake for 30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into center comes out clean. Let cool for 10 minutes before serving.

How to Make this fun Root Beer Float Cake

Set your oven to 350°F and add parchment paper and cooking spray to two round cake pans.  Add flour, salt, and baking powder in one bowl. Add your root beer, sugar, heavy cream, eggs, vegetable oil, and root beer flavor in a separate bowl.  Add the flour mixture to the wet ingredients and whisk them together. Add an equal amount of cake batter to each pan, put it in the oven, and let it bake for up to 30 minutes.  While your cakes are in the oven, prepare the glaze by adding root beer into a saucepan and heating it on medium-low heat.
